Danny’s Place has created the U-Project to provide an opportunity for local high school youth of the Acton-Boxborough community to develop and execute original ideas through community service project based work in the community.
As the project leaders of their own ideas, students will develop essential life skills, earn community service credits, gain experience for their resumes and college applications and make valuable connections to local leaders and peers while making a contribution to the future of their community. Danny’s Place will grant project funding (up to $1,000 per project) and provide work space and mentorship.
We want to hear your ideas + see how we can help you with a grant, and by making connections within the community.

Check-ins and Mentorship: Selected projects require regular meetings with DPYS mentor. Monthly check-ins are required. DPYS mentors will be available to meet with students during the school day (at the high school) and after school (at DPYS).

Now Announcing: U Project Jr.
Danny’s Place Youth Services (DPYS) has created the U-Project Jr. to provide an opportunity for local youth of the Acton-Boxborough community in grades 5-8 to develop and execute original ideas through community service project based work in the community. Groups must have a minimum of one adult mentor supervisor and two youth participants. Mixed age groups are welcome to apply, however, at least 50% of youth participants must be in grades 5-8. Maximum grant amount is $250 per project.
