MAY 16th & 17th

6:00PM – 9:00PM
At the Admin Building at ABRSD Campus

This event is recommended for all high school & college age girls who are residents of Acton and Boxborough. Participants must pre-register, and there is only space for 16 students.
Danny’s Place Youth Services, in collaboration with Domestic Violence Services Network Inc (DVSN) is offering a RESIST class (Realistic escape strategies & instinct-based self-defense training) for young women. The goal of the course is to learn how to escape from an attacker using instinct-based moves.

  • Day 1: We will talk about general safety & dating safety, before learning and then practicing physical defense moves like strikes, blocks, and knee strikes.
  • Day 2: Students and instructors will don protective gear, and participants will be “attacked” using learned moves to escape. This part of the course is intense but amazing and empowering.

There is a $25 registration fee for this event. Danny’s Place is proud to support this training at a deep discount. To register please submit this short form.
