Balanced Living Workshops for Teens

This workshop series features different areas and skill sets that are all part of “balanced living.” You can sign up for just one workshop that interests you, or come to all of them to explore new tools and ideas in different subject areas. The idea is that you can try out new tools, explore with your friends, and learn in an interactive setting. The workshops are designed to feature different elements of the Life Balance Wheel.

Healthy living is a very customized process, and we want to provide the opportunity for you to test out different life skill sets within the Life Balance Wheel to find your best-fit solution. You’ll walk away with new tools and skill sets that you can apply to your everyday lives! Sign up and bring a friend!

Date: Thursday February 15th
Time: 6:00-7:30pm
Instructor: Susan Reynolds
Cost:
 Free
Join us for an interactive, engaging workshop on the roles technology and social media play in your lives. We live in a digital world and technology is here to stay, but there is a gap between the promise and the peril of this world. Come learn how to maximize your digital life with mindful intention as opposed to mindless distraction. You will learn why you are so attracted to your screens and how you can take control of your use, rather than being used by it.

Learn strategies that will help you balance your on screen life with your off screen life, help you increase attention and focus while completing homework and other tasks, and how to use social media to enhance your life, rather than taking away from it.

Susan Reynolds, M.Ed. is a former middle school teacher who now teaches yoga, meditation and mindfulness in the digital age. Her passion is helping teens use technology mindfully and maximize the productive use of social media and their digital lives.
