Exploring ME Through the Arts is a program for children in grades 6-8 who are interested in learning more about themselves through fun, artistic activities. This program will explore questions like: Who am I? What am I passionate about? What’s my spark?  What are my strengths? Through the creative and interactive activities, participants get to try out all different types of art projects;  they explore their individual uniqueness, and identify their unique interest in arts.

Exploring ME Through the Arts truly encompasses the arts in the broadest sense: from drama, to clay creations, to movement and dance, to poetry, this program offers students a chance to explore the arts fully.  As part of the class they explore their interests through visual arts, music, nature and animals, yoga and movement, drama, technology, and reading and writing.

Exploring ME Through the Arts has four components over the course of the program: Find Your Sparks, Amplify Your Sparks, When Your Spark Gets Dim, and Share Your Sparks!  The four components are part of the fifteen week program that begins with an introduction and ends with a presentation to family and friends.

This program is always a favorite of participants, as one previous participant said “This program creates a fun, crafty place where you can discover yourself, and make great friends.”
