This is a 10-class program for youth in grades 9-12.
The National 4-H Curriculum, Build Your Future: Choices…Connections…Careers consists of nine activities that target high school students in grades 9-12. The purpose of the curriculum is to help youth develop skills and knowledge in career exploration. Using identified learner outcomes and success indicators, we lead fun, interactive learning experiences that help participants experience a variety of learning methods such as developing a business plan, competing in a quiz bowl, creating a portfolio, analyzing case studies, and discussing questions that reflect on their experiences. These interactive activities enhance learning and retention. Most activities range from 30 to 90 minutes.
Class meets 10 times at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School (room 108E) on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-4pm. Dates include: January 8 and 22, February 5 and 26, March 12 and 26, April 9 and 30, May 14 and 28.
